2008 APS Field Trips
Field Trip 2008–1: June 21/22, 2008; Central Alberta Foothills
This will be a two day trip with stops at Ram Falls and Bighorn Dam as while as a number of roadside
stops. The overnight stop will be at Nordegg. There are numerous campgrounds in the area and you may
also stay at the motel in Nordegg. If you are planning on staying in the motel be sure and book early.
The registration deadline is June 6, 2008.
Field Trip 2008–2: July 19/20, 2008; Flathead Valley, Southeast British Columbia
A two day loop through the Flathead Valley visiting a number of palaeontological sites is planned.
Preliminary plans are to begin in Fernie and end the trip at Corbin.
More information will be available in the June Bulletin.The registration deadline is July 4, 2008.
Field Trip 2008-3: August 16/17, 2008; Southeast Alberta/Southwest Saskachewan (Eastend)
On the first day we will visit the Ravenscrag Butte – Eastend area of Saskatchewan. Preliminary plans
include a tour of the Eastend Museum and a visit with “Scotty” the T-Rex. If time permits Day two will
include stops in southeastern Alberta. Further information will be available in the June Bulletin.
The registration deadline is August 1, 2008.
Field trips are open to members only.

To register for a field trip, print off and fill out
the SIGN UP SHEET
Then mail to Wayne at the address indicated on the Sign Up Sheet along with the
field trip fee, or give to Wayne in person during the monthly meetings.
